"Tombarra offers a magnificent rural retreat with a relaxing atmosphere, and first class accommodation and conference facilities."

The location is quiet and peaceful with often the only sounds being that of native birds or the splash of a trout in the river.
During the day take in the river and bushland views from the large deck or perhaps enjoy a coffee or a cold drink. There’s also a deck which is closer to the river and at the right time a platypus can often be seen foraging in the clear waters.
More energetic outdoor options are a spot of tennis on the full size court or a round of golf in Braidwood. Only a few minutes away the Budawang National Park including the famous Corn Trail offers some wonderful bush walking opportunities including a walk to the top of Mt Budawang with spectacular 360 degree views of the ocean and Mt Gillamatong to the west.
In the evening marvel at the billion blazing stars in a pollution free sky or in the cooler months gather around a bonfire with friends to chat and enjoy a drink or just take in the hypnotic magic of the flames.
In addition there is a fully equipped Commercial kitchen and function centre with audio visual facilities. Full catering options are available or self catering for those who love to share their skills and want to do their own thing.

What others are saying about Tombarra
Great place to stay on the mongarlowe river. Great kitchen, rooms and Nicchia is the best
Such a lovely, peaceful place to stay in a beautiful location, with hosts that made me feel very welcome. I was lucky enough to see platypus in the river as well, and all sorts of birds including Gang -Gangs and Black Cockatoos.Highly recommended.
It is a very quiet place to spend your holidays. One can enjoy the river, birds chirping, bonfire, and stargazing. They have a huge communal kitchen which can accomodate the large group. They also have a big sized hall which could be a perfect for any small conference and function for any Universities.Rooms are good sized with comfy bed. They do not have TV in their room so be prepared to carry laptop if you cannot survive without daily soap serials. :))Also, market is 15 km away from this place, so do not go without food but you can always order food from nearby resturants.
One of the best rural side accomodations I have ever stayed. Manager was very helpful and friendly. My baby was sick and things were messy.. She never hesitated to help us in getting bedsheet changed often or clean the room often etc. Facility on that rural place - mind blowing. You can host a party even for 50 people - that big was the kitchen amenities. If you don't rent the kitchen, still you have microwave, kettle, fridge, cutleries, toaster all in your room which was more than enough. I liked the idea of covered car park just near each room as it is good when you reach your room after sunset. Camp fire, photographic scenic place, rural yet with good amenities. The only mobile network available was telsra/lyca.Wifi was also not available for rooms which are bit far from the reception.
We had a 60th birthday/family reunion there over three days in July and it was the most perfect place for a family to gather. The rooms were clean with plenty of heating and the grounds were a perfect, peaceful setting. We catered most of our own meals, but Matthew Hulse cooked for our main meal on Saturday night and what a banquet we had! The children were safe to run around (adults too) and whole family were so happy with Tombarra that we would recommend it without hesitation!
